Restaurant Goon Wah, 冠華首創XO魚頭米

Goon Wah located near Kuchai Lama, from 2 shop lot expended until 3 shop, it's an old signature brand in KL City. I knew this restaurant from my boss, AGAIN. Undeniably, my boss is a good eater.
The 1st visit was couple years ago, when I just new join the company. On and off, we also will go there for lunch. If you looking for quick and reasonable price lunch, here is one of the choice.

Signature dishes are XO claypot fish head noodle, Treasure box claypot Loh see fun, Stewed pork belly with yam and steam buns and Stir fried pork maw and intestines with dried shrimp.

Beancurd Barley, Used beancurd sheet aka Fu Chok boiled with barley and ginkgo, silky smooth dessert just like soya bean. Not every where can get this perfect cooked beancurd barley.

Treasure box claypot loh see fun (small), on top with dried shrimp, minced pork meat, spring onion, sesame. In the treasure box is on fire, it's still boiling when it served, you have to mix it while it's boiling. Best claypot loh see fun I ever had.

XO claypot fish head noodle (medium), deep fried fish head, tomatoes, salted veggies, spring onion, yam cooked with thick mee hoon. the broth was little bit different with what I used to have, it wasn't that milky white, but taste is good enough too.

After Hi-Tea with my girls, we headed to Sri Petaling meet Zerm's bro for dinner. The venue was selected by Wong aka WongDaiLei. Today's Yummilicious featuring his selection ya . If you recalled, I did blog about Ho Kee Steamboat , you probably think are they're sister company? Bec ause the name look alike, and also same from Pulau Ketam. At 1st I also thought they were sister company. But after doing some research, I found that it's not. The style is similar with Ho Kee, they only have clear soup, no others selection.
