Restoran Taiji Eatery Dim Sum, 莊家點心

Taiji Eatery Dim Sum aka Zhong Ka Dim Sum located at Bandar Puteri, same street with Public Bank, from far you can see it, very strategy place. I heard their name long time ago, is time to find out lo, cause open long time already, still can survive sure got regular customer.

The shop outlook. No air-cond, the interior design is very simple, same as old style Dim Sum shop, waiter will push the trolley around the shop. I was there around 1PM, maybe a bit late already so the floor are quite dirty, which I think need to be improve.

Our Order List
1 x Kopi O Ice
1 x Teh O Ice
1 x Chee Cheong Fun
1 x Fried Shrimp Roll
1 x Har Gao
1 x Fishball
2 x Siew Mai

Fried Shrimp Roll, MYR 5.00
Golden deep fried shrimp roll, fresh shrimp meat stuffed in crispy bean curd skin, shrimp are fresh, nice seasoning, if the oil can drain a little more will be better.

Har Gao, MYR5.00
Crystal clear skin wrapped with shrimp meat. The skin thickness are just nice, not easy pierce, inner with bouncy fresh shrimp meat.

Steam Fishball aka Yu Mai, MYR5.00
Bouncy fish paste, no fishy at all. Really impressed. Fishball lover should give a try. I never fresh yu mai at KL, only Ipoh have, now I no need travel to Ipoh when i craving for Yu Mai.

Siew Mai, MYR4.50
The thickness of wantan skin is just prefect, pork meat mix with shrimp. No porky smell at all, the shrimp meat just enhanced the bouncy level. =)

Last, Empty Chee Cheong Fun, MYR3.50.
Why have kosong CCF? Because above dim sum contains a lot shrimp already, 2nd, kosong CCF can know how good are the soy sauce and sambal taste and also CCF smoothness level.
Their CCF is smooth and no rice flour taste, give a like on this. The soy sauce and dried shrimp sambal is very yummy, enhanced the CCF.

When i visit to new Dim Sum shop, order their Har Gao, Siew Mai, Fishball and Chee Cheong Fun is a must, these dishes are the soul of Dim Sum shop, if these dishes are not nice how to call a Dim Sum restaurant, right ? Overall, I think Zhong Ka Dim Sum is nice, better than Foo Hing Dim Sum. Very impressive on the steam fishball, never think that can find a good quality steam fishball in KL Town.
